International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
The IB Diploma is an international qualification of high academic standing recognised by universities in India, Britain, USA and further afield.
In the IBDP, pupils study six subjects in total: three at higher level and three at standard level. Pupils select one subject from each group 1 to 5 and either one from group 6 or an additional subject from groups 2 to 4 (see table below):

Pupils also take a course in the Theory of Knowledge, write an extended essay on a subject of their choice, and complete a programme of creativity, action and service.
The IB is assessed through a combination of formal examinations and coursework, which must be completed over the two years of the diploma programme. The highest grade in any subject is a 7; gaining a 7 in a higher level subject is a similar accomplishment to gaining an A* at A Level.
